The Float X2 and dhx2 rely heavily on poppet-driven damper circuit, leaving only lockout and very high speed compressions to the shim-stack. Thankfully, Fox obliged. Check out the video below and visit ridefox. The coil is a phenomenal middle ground between the high- and low-volume air shocks. M4rtz New Member. Edit Tags Done. Yeti Sb5.

The X2 handles the roughest of rough with ease but I feel its not as playfull and lacks a bit of feeling when things aren't so rough, when it.FOX has done a great job with their entire lineup, including the heavily updated 36 fork that pairs really well with the new rear shocks.

cumperi.online › watch. The DPX2 requires a nitrogen charge whereas the Float X2 can be charged with nitrogen preferred but also air from a common shock pump.

DPX2 $ USD · No ability to independently adjust high speed compression / rebound · Slightly more “fade” than x2 · Off the shelf valve stacks may.You have 10 clicks of Open Mode Adjust, and I ended up with 3 out from closed.

The X2 is where you wanna be. The DPX2 is not a dh rear shock. If you are coming off of an inline rear shock, the DPX2 will be an improvement.I am not sure if I have been super unlucky and had three bad shocks but it is what it is.

So I really do need an allrounder. Anyway the bike comes with a FOX DPX2 Performance shock, but for extra 99€ I can get it with FOX float X2.Dfriz Well-known member.

Reviving an old model name for a new shock, the Fox Float X replaces the Float DPX2, Fox's medium-duty piggyback air shock. Then I adjust rebound.

Despite the fact that the Float X2 was originally designed as a downhill shock—and definitely still is one—the new, more progressive spring rate.Like I said, the previous version of this thing is already really good.

Turbo Levo Fox X2 vs DPX2 It seems the DPX2 is more popular and easier to adjust/set up however I've seen Marshall Mullen. You may be able to find more information about this and similar content at piano.

I do like to have a bit more support on the rear shock than most riders.

Depending on the size of the shock, Fox has a chart listing the size and maximum amount of spacers you can fit.

There is a bit of a kick at times with some slight hangups, though.

I am over lbs and what you described with the fork is exactly what I have been experiencing with FOX every time I test rode a bike with it or had it installed on a new bike.

In this feature, we're going to ride three of the new FOX shocks on a Pivot Switchblade, back-to-back, and give you our impressions.

After adding air and compressing the shock a few times, I re-attach the shock pump and make sure I have the right amount of air pressure to get the right amount of sag.

With the new MCU bottom-out bumper, I felt I could set the shock up with a bit less progression without fear of a nasty-sounding bottom-out.

forum? Not only is the shock better suited for downhill applications via improved valving, cooling and more independent plumbing, the poppy feel and balanced pedaling platform make it an easier choice for aggressive trail riders unwilling to sacrifice climbing performance.

My riding is more xc like and let go on the downhills, not so much real gnar at 50, but aome rougher roots and rocks are handled.Forum Fox dpx2 vs x2

forum? If you are not riding those kinds of trails frequently, you might not need the Float X2, as it has much more adjustments and also weighs an average of g more than the DPX2.
